Overall rating: 4.9 / 5 from 253 reviews.
This machine removes any and all barriers to hamstring development. I love supersetting with this machine. It stores super simply upright as easily as my bench. Finishes are outstanding and I really like the monochromatic scheme. This machine is super stable. Even unweighted for reverse hypers. Didn’t take long to put together at all and the hardware is labeled and the instructions are easy. Customer service is great should you need it. So glad I waited for V3….Well done Apex.

Overall, everything is high quality. The pins are easy to use and everything moves smoothly. Assembly directions were clear, no major issues when assembling. It does everything I wanted it for and more, it’s been a great addition to my home gym setup!
I accidentally tore the fabric on the back of the upper panel while adjusting it. As I was sliding it down, it got caught on a metal piece and tore. Completely my fault, but it’s something to be aware of for others.
Fixed it and reinforced the area with some vinyl tape though, so not a big deal.

I've owned the NBE for around 4 months now and it's been a complete game changer. Fantastic versatility, great stability and even though I don't have much space since I work out in my bedroom, I can still use it no problem thanks to the quick vertical storage.
If I had to point something that has room for improvement that'd be changing between nordic bench and hyperextension mode, maybe adding a guide or something would make it more consistent. Nothing major but something to consider for the potential V3, haha.
It goes to my top 3 home gym buys for sure!

I love the Nordic Back Extension v2. Since getting it a few months ago, I've been using it for Nordics, reverse Nordics and back extensions. The wheels also make it easy to move around and I love that it stores upright easily to save space. It is simple to adjust to different angles to make easy progression for (reverse) nordics. There are also plenty of adjustments available for the ankle rollers and the back extension pad so that you can do the exercises in the right position. The pads are also firm enough. This is such a great buy!

Great piece, solid construction and I got a great deal. A real space saver as well. Not surprised! Everything’s Ben puts out is quality, including his online content. I can clearly recall during his early days calling in to get a return on something, and I spoke to his mother, who was a wonderful lady.

Took quite a while to arrive but it was worth the wait and customer service was great. 5/5 machine and the quality and versatility of it made it a must in my gym. I also love the upgrade for added comfort. God bless!
The Nordic leg curl has adjustable angles to help your progression to full horizontal. Will take some time for me to get there, so I really appreciate the adjustable angles to build strength and confidence! The back extension really works the glute and hamstring. Versatile machine and easy storage in upright position.
Great piece, well worth the investment. My guys love it and now they can learn and get the basic strength on the machine to left then graduate to the full nordic with incline and progress to flat nordics. We are seeing some huge gains as we progress guys through. We have also tried some weighted back extensions with the bar loaded to 315 with our staff as Guinee Pigs and machine was remarkably stable at heavy load. I would of given 5 stars but my only complaint is the removable piece brackets were smaller than bar they fit on so I had to leave them loose to fit into position which allows pad to move under stress/load so we took that piece out and have just used the fixed top pad. I definitely recommend this to anyone who has athletes that are ready to progress to real deal nordics and to anyone who wants to load up on back extensions and keep a steady safe base.

This has been a great addition to my home gym. Feels stable and padding is perfect for my female clients. The handle bars are great for my clients who are new in the fitness world, to feel secure and stable.
The base handle is great for moving around the gym and making adjustments. I personally like the versatility of movements being able to add into the workouts.
The only thing I would like is to be able to adjust the length of the base without having to have a third hand. Other than that, I love it.
Love it! Can stand up out of the way to clear space and allows me to get rid of three pieces of equipment - nordic table, back extension and a fly bird bench I use for regressions.
Great product! Quality build. Love the versatility for Nordics and back extensions and a range of other movements you can do with this equipment. The only constructive criticism I have is that it has two adjustable pins at the bottom to extend the machine out for a longer lever. It’s difficult to pull both pins and lengthen/shorten the machine with only two arms. Not a big deal, but version 2.0 could improve this for easier adjustability! Overall, awesome product and very happy with the purchase.
The Nordic Back Extension has been hands down my favorite piece of equipment in my gym! I’ve been using it for 2 months now for both myself and my clients, and it’s an absolutely GAMECHANGER for helping people improve at Nordic curls. If you’ve ever just tried do a flat ground Nordic without no prior experience, it can be a pretty discouraging experience. But the multiple regression levels on this bench make it perfect for all skill levels, and it gives people an opportunity to actually experience some success and really start to see improvement pretty quickly. I honestly wish I had access to this when I started my Nordic journey! Throw in the fact that this doubles as a super sturdy back extension (which is super nice for saving space) and this is a no brainer top piece of equipment in my gym. You can do Nordics, back extensions, QL extensions, trap-3 raises, and more all in this one bench. I’d HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a multi use, super high quality bench for your gym!
The Nordic Back Extension Machine is by far the best tool out there for progressing from beginner to advanced Nordic curls. Doubles as a great option for back extensions too!
High quality craftsmanship and easy to use. Amazing work by the Tib Bar Guy!
Received my back extension Nordics and was in perfect condition. Instructions were super simple and took me under an hour to build both of these. It’s been personally my favorite back extension/ Nordic and all of my clients have enjoyed the cushioning of it. Love the tib bar guys products highly recommend their products.
I just got done assembling my new Nordic Back Extension Machine today. Nothing was damaged during shipping, all the parts were there, the instructions were clear, and it went together without a problem. I like the quality, the ruggedness, and the dual use. I expect to be using this machine for many years to come. Really nice people to work with as well. Highly recommend.
First time purchasing from this company. Did a lot of research on other machines and opted to go with this one as for me it basically boiled down to: I have the room to spare and everything I reviewed said that if you have the room to spare then you want this machine that doesn't do it "all" but does what it does better than the competitors. In short, that rings true with this product.
Purchasing experience was awesome -- company had quick and personable responses. I placed a pre-order and item shipped within projected time frames. Top-notch quality. Everything feels and looks solid, material and component choices were obviously made for quality as opposed to cost-savings.
Main thing I use this for is back extension and easing my way into ability to perform Nordic curls. Machine has performed flawlessly in this regard -- it's comfortable and solid which is exactly what I was hoping for. In my research the "do it all" machines were noted to be less comfortable, less stable, and more of pain to configure -- all of which would have dissuaded me from regular use.
Will definitely consider this company's offerings for future equipment.

I recently picked up the Apex NBE bench, and it has quickly earned a permanent spot in my routine. Build quality is rock solid, stable under load, and very comfortable to set up on.
The biggest win for me has been the combination of posterior chain strengthening and decompression. Whether programming targeted glute/hamstring work or using it for controlled extensions to open up and release tight lower back tension, it hits the mechanics exactly right without awkward pressure points. If you are serious about spine health, heavy hinging support, or general posterior development, this bench delivers. Highly recommend.

I had been eye the NBE for a while and finally decided to take the plunge, and I do not regret this purchase at all. First of all, even though assembly was multi-step, they made it as efficient and easy as possible by numbering and bagging the hardware you need by step. More assembled products need to do this! Using my own tools did expedite the assembly. Since I put it together, I've used it regularly. Love quality of the build. Very aesthetically pleasing, and it's pretty simple to use for a multi-use machine. Been using the NBE for back extensions, nordic curls, bulgarian split squats, and hip thrusts. Really does live up to the hype. Also, I appreciate the wheels, since it is a heavier piece of equipment. A+++

I've been very excited to get my NBE v3. It looked like the perfect home gym addition to rehab low back pain. So far I have incredibly happy with my purchase. The assembly was a breeze- they put the hardware in individual bags for each step so it was a hassle free build. It's incredibly sturdy and moves around surprisingly well considering it's size.
