Curried Grain Pilaf Recipe

2 cups water
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 bay leaf
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/4 cup brown rice, uncooked
1/4 cup bugler, uncooked
1/4 cup pearl barley, uncooked
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to boil. Add onion, celery, pepper and grains, cover and simmer for 1 hour or until grains are tender and liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and discard bay leaf. Add parsley and mix well.
