Bourbon-Apple Pork Glaze Recipe
Grilled or roasted pork
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, diced
4 ounces mushrooms, sliced
4 ounces shallot, diced
3 apples, diced
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon sage
2 teaspoons black pepper
4 ounces bourbon
8 ounce jar reduced fat gravy or brown sauce
In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat until hot. Add onion, mushrooms, shallots, apples and spices and saute until tender. Add bourbon and gravy or brown sauce and simmer until slightly reduced. Puree mixture in a blender and serve with grilled or roasted pork.
