Oat-Bran French Toast Recipe

1 cup nonfat milk
1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
2 egg whites
1 cup oat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
6 slices whole wheat bread

Combine milk, honey and egg whites and mix until blended. Combine oat flour, baking powder and cinnamon, add to milk mixture and mix well. Dip in bread and then brown on nonstick griddle or pan until golden brown on both sides. Serve with syrup.

*Adding oat flour increases fiber of this favorite breakfast recipe. Blending 1-cup oatmeal in a blender or food processor can yield oat flour.
