Performance Nutrition (ECEC4-1)

The purpose of this course is to help you deliver performance-enhancing nutrition strategies for your clients. This course explores the basics of performance nutrition and examines how nutrition pertains to specific types of athletes and their needs. After this course, you will be able to:

  • Deliver nutrition programs for enhancing sports performance.
  • Provide appropriate guidelines related to macronutrients, timing of meals, dietary support, and fluid intake for endurance athletes and high-intensity anaerobic athletes
  • Provide pre-contest guidelines for fitness athletes

By taking this course, you will be able to:

  • Help clients understand the role of performance nutrition
  • Help clients reach and maintain their goals by incorporating performance nutrition
